Xatsull Heritage Village

I'm playing catch up!!! Went with C's class to the Native heritage village at Xatsull last week. I found it really interesting .... Did you know that the natives from our area have NEVER lived in Tee Pees. They lived in Pit houses. The Tee pees were brought in for the tourist, because that is what they wanted to see... How funny!

And the river where most of the dip netting was done. The water was really high, normally there is a small beach in between the rocks.

I think I have learned so much just going on these fieldtrips. And it's good practice with my camera...now if the weather would only cooperate. Stop the rain ...PLEASE!
