Whitecaps soccer camp..day 1

This weekend is soccer camp, in town...Waa hoo! no travelling!
We left the house at 7:45 and returned home at 4pm. L is tired , but he's having a good time. The coaches are set up just for their age groups this time. So they have the same coach all day. Mixed teams of 14 to 17 year old, L is fitting well. He is in his element, he loves it!
Beside it being below freezing this am , and drinking a ton of coffee to stay warm, I think it went well. I did come home at lunch, to get my winter coat and some mitts. The calander says that it's almost May, but it still feels like the begining of March..brrrrr

Oh and check out this lovely girl....Miss H , came to watch L play this afternoon. She is stunning and such a good sport. Thanks for letting me take some shots . I have a new photo victim/model and she likes having her picture taken....unlike the boys. I think I will keep her...hahah. Hope you show up tomorrow bannana!

Signs of Spring

It looks like spring will make an appearance in the puddle. These are from Scout Island last week. The air is still cool but the sun is starting to give some warmth...I love spring..not too hot and so much to do in the yard. It's good to be outsideI caught this bee, by accident...but I will say that it was planned..haha. look close you can see his tongue.

The blue background is the lake. Yep, I think spring is HERE!

Easter Sunday Drive

In our efforts to find the Easter Bunny we took a drive. When C told me that I was the easter bunny..almost like magic , he didn't show up...HMMMMM I wonder why? So went for a drive out west, just past Riske Creek, to find a Cache for Mike.

Here is a shot of the new van...Yes ..another van, we like the room and the size, when the boys leave home we are getting a CHALLENGER!!!

I love this old fence....I love the character of the barbwire and the way it's leaning
And no trip out west would be complete without a totalled truck in a field. I'm not sure if it was stolen (most likely) . But why wasn't it towed to town? The skid marks were at least 100 ft, until the truck hit the ditch, took out the fence, and must of flew another 100 ft , because there is not a mark in the field from the tires....I hope that no one was hurt....but if it was stolen...well...I won't say anymore. This truck was sitting right across from the old Riske Creek school...I made Mike stop...I couldn't believe it
The boys even took shots of me, while we were out..I haven't got to them yet...I will , one day :)

Here's one of L at Cresent Beach...technically it SUCKS.....but I like the dreamy background from the ocean. And it's so him....not a little boy...but still my baby...ewww sappiness! I bought a reflector...I think it would have helped here, but then he would have never let me take his photo..So that's it...I just like it

And after driving through a wicked snow storm the sun came out .Mike pulled over and I took a shot of this old roadhouse by Lac La Hache....the sky was black still but the light was amazing!

This shot is really grainy..I wonder what it would look like in black and white...hmmm, might have to try that
