More Dandy heads!!

These are a few more Dandelion heads....aren't they pretty? I thought they were JUST weeds, but I was wrong...look at the structure they have. The color of the seeds are different on each fluffy head. They are delicate and they have a brilliant design... Just dandelions....I don't think so! These are for you Penny!

School Field trip with Grade 7's

We took a tour of Gibraltar Mines (copper mine) with L's grade 7 class last Wednesday.....It was so cool! I'm so glad that L let me go...(grade 7 , it's not cool for your mom to come). I basically begged him to let me go! And of course ...promised to not compromise his coolness...haha
I want to go back..and do it again.

I am NOT one of the BOYS!!!

A beautiful weekend to take your mother for a nice little bike ride! NOT! On Sunday the boys took me up Fox Mountain for a leisurely stroll....After 2 1/2 hours riding down a mountain, I was ready for a stiff drink and a massage! HOLY CRAP! Now I know why it's called mountain biking!

Vertical drops and deep gullies, trees everywhere that are much too close together, I have a new respect for my boys , they are all amazing riders!

Thank you M...for not getting mad at me ...when I was ready to give up! And thanks L and C for not pointing and laughing, when I fell and wanted to cry!

Here's me on my new bike , after our second day of downhill terror! I'm not smiling...I'm wincing in Pain, because every little bone and muscle in my body is wondering what in the Heck is going on! Did you know that there is little bones/muscles in your butt that don't allow you to sit on the seat the 2nd day! I know tomorrow I will have a hard time getting out of bed. Thank God , that the weekend is over!

And a big THANK YOU to Laureen.... for driving me back up to get the van , and lending the boys money to get a drink while they waited for me to return. I love that my cell phone works in the middle of no where.

This is my new helmet... it has a hummingbird on it and Pink straps.....nice and girly and the kids won't steal it!

Oh and these are my new battle scars!! WAA HOO! Scabs and mosquito bites

I'm not one of the boys , but I'm definately not a girly girl either ! It actually was kinda fun and I'm sure I'll get the hang of it....eventually

Bribery, works every time!

I haven't posted any of C in a while! Last night at 8pm, I told him if he let me take a couple shots , he could stay up til 9pm. DONE!!! The light was great and he was even willing to pose. That just doesn't happen in this house. I love how these turned out... and I'm trying to get better black and white conversions.... I think this one is ok!

It's been a busy week!! Soccer is once again taking over! But that's ok, the boys love it!

Milestones! ..... He is now 13

TODAY!!! L is 13. We have no idea where the time went! I'm sure that it was yesterday, when Dad took the training wheels off his 2 wheeler. He's a TEENAGER!! How did this happen?
Here's a shot I took on Saturday afternoon, sitting in the van after a bike ride. You look so grown up.... Yes I'm being all sappy and sentimental, I'm allowed I'm your MOM!
