Hummers and Flowers

It's been a busy week!! Soccer is once again taking over! But that's ok, the boys love it!
Just wanted to share these hummingbird shots.... I'm really thrilled how they turned out.
Will update later....have a great weekend!

Shannon, these are ALL great! Our hummers have started showing up now. You have inspired me to try this summer to catch one of these little guys! Love the water drops, too!

AWESOME images! Now your hummer homework is to grab shots of them without the feeders in view. Bump your SS up to around 500 or better (if it wasn't high already...) and adjust your other settings as needed if not shooting in SS priority mode. The objective is to freeze frame the hummer's wing action. On the opposite end of that lesson is dragging the shutter to get slow-motion of the wings (not really blurred, but sort of in steps where you can still see some details in the feathers,if you know what I mean) It's not easy, but sure is fun to do!! Good luck, look forward to seeing what you come up with.
-K { I personally am hummer challanged!}

Shan-great shots love the colors in them all! And thanks for visiting me in blog-land-it's bolstering my confidence to open it to a general audience.
