A weekend of Blue Skies
Saturday was a beautiful clear day. Good time to be outside in the crisp fresh air. We went up Fox Mountain to find a cache for Mike. Then we jumped the fence and barbwire into this field, the boys all wanted to have there picture taken..........hahahaha, Of course I made them, they never want to have their photo taken.
While C was walking further away into the field...I ask L to hold out his hand. This way the result. We all killed ourselves laughing....C had no idea what we were laughing about until I showed him the photo.
This shot of C was before he decided to walk away into the field. He got this Toque/hat on Friday night while we were downtown....it actually suits him. We thought that we might have to retake this shot at a later date , Mike thinks it would be great with a shot gun.
And this one of L. Mike held the reflector for me...yes , we are all blind now. Nothing like burning your retinas out with a silver metallic disc.
And a closer shot.
And this was from last weekend out by Dugan Lake. The cache was called Moose Meadow. Pretty place with cool bullrushes..

Gavin Lake with the class
So I was asked to go to Gavin Lake Forestry camp with C's class. I know that C didn't want me to go , but if they didn't have another parent chaparone, No one would go. I packed my bag and headed out Wednesday. It was snowing on the way out...Yikes! Mike put the winter tires on the van, so I knew it would be fine. C's class spent 2 nights and came back into town Friday afternoon. The kids were kept busy...I mean really busy, they were in class, they had chores and also free time. When it was free time...I usually snuck away with my camera down to the lake.
The first two shots are at sunrise, about 7:30am...while the kids were eating breakfast.
Looking down the lake away from the sun.
Here is C at his archery course, I think this course and the orienteering were the coolest.
And a few of the boys at free time, they were all well behaved, boys and girls. And they came home dirty and tired.
So Friday morning, the kids and Mr. Grace load up my van with sleeping bags and gear...and I booked it to town. I had just enough time to come home and shower.... I really needed that. And then I went to school and dropped all the stuff off.....and headed over to watch L play soccer, I made it just as the game started ...I was happy about that.

I was sitting on the ground....a totally different prespective. And this shot...no ball, but I really like the light. It was cold and windy and dark and the sun came out for a minute. L is playing senior soccer and junior right now...but he really enjoys the senior soccer more, He told me it's way more challenging playing with grade 11 and 12's..he's only in grade 9, but he seems to hold his own. Their team won gold on the weekend.

The Brothers
Christopher was here for a few days. On his way home from a hunting trip up north. It was so great to see him. And so nice for Mike to have him here. We had our Thanksgiving dinner last night while Chris was here (he left for home ...early 5am this morning). I never realized how tall Mike is until he stands next to Chris..how did that happen...haha
And a shot of Mike in the yard last night too. A rare occurance. I should do this more often....make you stand there and let me shoot you. You are kinda cute when you don't make stupid faces, no wonder I like you!

Well I don't have a pumpkin, but there is definately frost. Mostly on the vehicles. It was -12C this morning...a chilly start to the day. This is the frost on Mike's truck. I love the sparkly-ness (is that a word?)
And frost on the hood of the van, I like the shadows and the streaks....
And frost on the van windshield, with rainbow colored paper behind it....my hands we absolutely frozen...boy is it cold!!
I have been very lazy about keeping my blog updated, sorry MOM
