A little closer.....

This is what the front yard looks like! As you drive up to the house.......a big pile of EVERYTHING! Wallboard, carpet, underlay, china cabinet, mouldings. OMG...it's a mess! It definately helps keep the solicitors away..haha. Looks like we are gutting a crack house! We will take it all to the dump this weekend, I hope!And the drywall is up, it has been mudded, sanded and I'm so happy that is done. I am not a Drywaller!! I suck at it, but it is better than wallboard. Wednesday we finished Priming the walls, and Thursday night we put on the second coat of paint on! I can't believe how much brighter it is all ready. The light coming through the front window radiates through the whole kitchen...ahhhhh light is good! I think I've sucked in too much dust!

It is still a mess, but we will start laying the lamenate flooring this weekend. We figured that the money we saved by doing it ourselves, could be put into a nice island for the kitchen (which I have always wanted!) ..... I can't wait to show you it FINISHED! It is going to be so wonderful.
