After the Wind
At noon today a wicked wind storm blew through our yard. Huge branches came off the trees and landed on the roof and the deck. The fir trees were spinning in circles..it was crazy. it only lasted about 5 minutes, but it scared us non the less. A large tree on the top of our property snapped. We went up to look and I took a quick shot of C standing beside this huge tree. Thank goodness nothing hit the house. The top 40 feet of the tree is lying in the right of the photo!! Afterward we drove down the road, and it seemed like it was only our area, down the road there was nothing..no branches or debris, like it never happened....strange

OMG!! Thank goodness you didn't get any worse damage! It certainly is a scary feeling watching it happen... I know!

To snap a tree of that girth, must have been pretty strong. Were there any tornados that moved through your area?

Holy Shan-glad you are alright! Looks like the microbursts we have had around here this year with the thunderstorms right after or before-it is scary. Be careful on the clean up of it-first Pat now you-what next?
